Race one began at 9.45am with Ochia piloting the Huracan. Ochiai managed to take the second spot at turn 1 after the race started. He was able to held on to the position and only to be overtaken 5 laps before the mandatory pit stop for Afiq Yazid to take over. Afiq who clocked the fastest race lap in race 1 who was very determined to win the home races managed to battled it out with the other two leading cars and took the Huracan passed the checkered flag for their first win of the weekend.
Race 2 which started at 2.20pm with Afiq Yazid as the first driver. He started the race from pole. With track temperature reaching over 50 degree Celsius, it was the hottest race of the season for the Series. As the light turns green Afiq lead the pack into turn 1. Afiq who managed to opened up a huge lead passed the car over to his teammate Ochiai 1 minute before the pit window was closed. Ochiai held on to the lead and took the car to cross the checkered flag for their second win of the weekend.
With the two wins from the weekends, Team Lamborghini Osaka which has a total of 6 wins and 2 second finishes is now leading the Championship with a total of 114 points. Their closest rival, Team Lamborghini Nagoya is in second place with 72 points.
Next stop for the sereis is Fuji Speedway, Japan which will be held on 17-18 Sep 2016.
